well, needless to say...it didn't go too well.
he cried. {a lot.}
as soon as he got used to his classroom, it was time to go to Chapel.
he cried and cried. the aide finally took him out to the playground.
when she brought him back in, it was time to start
craft time.
they made "turkey hands".
he cried. the whole time.
at 11:30 it was lunch time.
i packed him his all-time fave: pb&j, grapes, and Toy Story fruit snacks.
he ate. and cried.
at noon i came to pick him up.
i peeked into his classroom and saw him eating. alone.

he was sitting at a round table, looking down.
i didn't see a big boy anymore. i saw a baby. a baby who wanted me.
i walked in and said "hi bubba!!"
he looked up and saw me.
he fell apart.
he cried harder than i'd seen in a very long time.
my baby was sad. very sad.
so many questions:
am i making the right decision?
is he ready?
does he know i'm coming back?
tomorrow is day 2...
we'll see if he does better or worse.

his {spider-man} backpack and lunchbox

walking my

changing his mind when he sees daddy's not coming

eating fruit snacks on the way... {yes i fully agree with bribery}

a classmate gave jake 5 and told him "he did great"

he still wasn't sold. he wanted to just go home.

jakey and yaya on the way home. she was happy to have him back! :)

awww, poor precious little guy! My Bella is very attached, and I could only imagine her being the same way :(
I hope the second day went better!
Aww I remember Aidans first day and he cried every time I dropped him off for about a month. The first week was the hardest. It gets easier I promise but it still breaks your heart.
Thank you! I read your email early this morning. You are so sweet and thank you for bringing a smile to my face first thing in the morning! :) p.s. glad you got a laugh out of Landen's hair. We now call him Llyod ha!!!
today was day 2... he did a lot better than i expected!! he cried when we pulled up and the teacher said he stopped about 30 seconds after i left. when i called at 10 to check on him, angie (the director) said he made a friend (Dylan) and was outside going down the slide with him on their bellies and they were cracking up. :)
we go to pick him up at noon and i can't wait to hear about his day!! :)
i found your blog through someone elses quite awhile ago.I love to read different blogs even though i do not have one of my own. I guess i am a lurker : ) i was so glad to see you started blogging again, i just wanted to let you know how adorable your kids are and how much i enjoy your stories. I have 3 kids myself so i can relate: ) Your kids are gorgeous and i love your funny, witty personality. Thanks for giving me something fun to read while i drink my coffee every morning. What your son is going through at preschool is completely normal, i promise it will get a little easier everyday. Soon he won't want to leave when you come to pick him up. Have a great day.
awww thank you anonymous!! :) you're welcome to lurk any time you please! lol
